Emmanuel Emeka Anamonye (Mr. One thing) was born into the family of Mr.
& Mrs. Josiah Anamonye. He is from Ukwu Nzu, Aniocha North Local
Government Area of Delta State, South-South Nigeria. He has five
siblings. He had his primary and secondary school education completed at
St. Richard's Catholic Primary School (1996) and Eleyele Secondary
School (2002) both in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
Emmanuel started music with the percusion instruments at age 7. He had
an anglican background which gave him a clue to classical music early in
life. In 1999, he joined the church choir and also lead a four-man
accapella band called 'Harmony Gospel Singers' while he was still in
secondary school until he proceeded for his tertiary education at The
Polytechnic, Ibadan to study Banking and Finance in 2004.
He started learning how to play bass guitar and piano in 2006. He was saved and born again in 2007 after which his quest for music increased tremendously and to God be the glory, he has improved with speed. Moreso, he had worked with some church choirs and bands as bass guitarist and with some as music director.
In 2009, Emmanuel was trained professionally in the area of musicianship and music directing, he listens to several genres of music to enhance his skills. His major musical manuscript is the Bible because of the incomparable inspiration he gets from the holy spirit by singing the word of God and as a result, he has written over one hundred songs by God's grace.
That same year, he gained admission into the premier University of Ibadan to study Economics and has now successfully completed his first degree with a B.sc Econs (Hons) and was popularly tagged 'Mr. One thing' which stipulates 'Mr. Praise'because he is known for praising God.
In 2010, he started training on music production and audio sound engineering. By God's grace, he has produced some gospel artists including his own first album titled 'One thing'. Today, Emmanuel is a song writer, composer, musician, singer, audio sound engineer, music director, music producer and a gospel music minister. He prays and hopes to be a blessing to generations and nations of the world through 'one thing-songs' in Jesus'
